Health & Rehab Support Worker 

North West Community Services (Lincoln, Gainsborough & surrounding areas) 

Permanent up to 37.5 hrs per week

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care to the people of Lincolnshire in partnership with the wider health community and acute sector.

Pay level B1 £18,554 per annum pro rata plus weekend unsocial hour’s enhancement of 30% and contributory pension scheme or continuation of NHS pension. Buying and selling of annual leave and lease car schemes are options available to qualifying new employees.

This post offers excellent experience working within Hospice services as part of the palliative care team. The post holder will be supported by Registered Nurses on a daily basis, to enable the provision of high standards of specialist palliative care and psychological support for patients, families and carers in Community Services.

St Barnabas’ mission is to ensure all individuals facing the end of their life in Lincolnshire receive dignified, compassionate care when they require it and where they ask for it.

Experience required:

• Experience caring for patients in a care setting is essential.
• Any palliative care experience and /or community experience is desirable.
• NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
• Basic Computer skills (Essential)
• Understanding and experience of working with the principles of confidentiality.
• This role requires a DBS check.

The ability to travel within the geographical work area without the use of public transport is essential in order to deliver an effective service.
