Digital Support Officer

(Agile working available)

We are currently looking to recruit to our Digital Transformation Team within Powys Teaching Health Board, you as a Digital Support Officer will be a highly motivated, hardworking, innovative and passionate individual, working to support the delivery of digital transformation in the organisation.

Assisting the Digital Business Manager, you will be required to carry out procurement and asset management tasks, ensuring records are kept up-to date and will respond to IT support requests, including those relating to the digitization of eye care within the health board.

Powys Teaching Health Board strives to be an exemplar for Digital Transformation, here you should seek to keep up-to date on technological developments, as well as being a Digital Champion and go-to for technical support and advice.

A selection of your other responsibilities will include:

  • To promote an integrated and co-ordinated approach to Digital by demonstrating examples of what can be undertaken for example, Microsoft O365
  • To participate in change management activities liaising with the ICT department and applications teams.
  • Responsible for obtaining quotes and ordering ICT equipment and supplies through relevant procurement systems. For example, Oracle
  • To implement and manage a Problem Record Register relating to Health Board applications and provide regular reporting on root cause analysis and possible work arounds.
  • Developing formal processes and systems to support the recording and management of applications and assets within the service e.g. the developing of guidance documents and best practice IT Service Management procedures.

The ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders is crucial for this role through a variety of mediums as is the need to ensure all work carried out aligns with both local and national policies.

Powys Teaching Health Board supports Agile working.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
