The Worcestershire Acute Trust Pharmacy Department is currently inviting applications for enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacy graduates due to register in the Summer of 2019 to join our countywide basic grade pharmacist team of 10.

We are a 900 bedded Trust based on 3 main sites with a separate diagnostic and treatment centre, offering a wide variety of specialities and opportunities to develop your experience. Our medicines management programme has been developed to an impressive level with ward-based pharmacy teams offering comprehensive clinical input and a bedside discharge service. We also run a pioneering 7/7 ED advanced clinical practitioner service to deliver key KPI’s around primary and secondary admissions avoidance.

Following further promotion, we are looking for clinically-minded, newly/soon to be qualified pharmacists to join the medicines optimisation team at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital. We offer a quality, competency-led training programme to develop newly qualified pharmacists into accomplished practitioners of pharmaceutical care, in a supportive and team-orientated environment. The posts include the opportunity to study for a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, (currently Bath University) and the ability to experience all aspects of hospital pharmacy. There will also be an opportunity for applicants who wish to undertake a specialist rotation in cancer services to progress career aspirations in this field in a fast-tracked way. We also offer an innovative band 6 to 7 career progression based on the foundation pharmacist framework.
