The role will provide technical support in the running of the GOSH Server, Application Delivery and Cloud services Infrastructures, and maintaining their operation in line with policy and procedures. The role will cover:
- Maintaining day to day operation of the server, application and cloud services in line with policy and procedures.
- Working with the team to ensure availability of the Trust’s entire server environment, both physical and virtual, including the Citrix estate
- Package changes using the Endpoint Configuration Manager tool and ensure full testing is carried out.
- Work with the ICT Support Engineers to ensure that updates are pushed out via the Endpoint Configuration Manager and delivered in a controlled and timely manner.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience managing a Microsoft Active Directory forest and the related server, storage and back office technologies generally found within.
- Good knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Cloud Services, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of Datacentre-based technologies and standards
- Experience of managing datacentre projects or areas with complex working practices
- Knowledge of ISO Standard 27001
- Experience of managing multi-vendor server systems or Cloud service and relationships with suppliers.
- Experience installing server hardware.
- Good functional knowledge of end-to-end Information Security policies, procedures, controls and tool-sets
