Clinical Director – Mental Health Services, Portsmouth

This is an exciting role to provide clinical leadership to Mental Health services within Solent NHS Trust as we seek further develop our clinical model into a nationally leading integrated mental and physical health service.

The role will work alongside a leadership team to run mental health provision and provide strategic direction as part of the HIOW heath care system. The post holder will work in collaboration with executive teams and other key health service lines, for example, physical health.

The clinical component of the role is flexible and negotiable in order to maintain clinical competencies and credibility as well as to provide texture within the job plan for professional development. This role will be working 5 PAs per week.

Consultant grade

  1. Medical Consultant as clinical director – Base salary + 10% additional responsibility allowance

  2. Nurse/AHP Consultant  - Band 9 + 10% additional responsibility allowance

Non-Consultant Grade

  1. Upon appointment  -  Rate for role + £10k

    + formalised development plan to support achievement of consultant grade for profession in reasonable timescale. Upon achieving Nursing or AHP Consultant status  - as per item 2 above.

Relocation expenses of up to £8,000 are available to the successful candidate who meets a set criteria.
