COMMUNITY PHLEBOTOMIST POSTS X 2

FULL TIME 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK OVER 5 DAYS (MONDAY TO FRIDAY) 

PERMANENT

Two permanent full time Community Phlebotomist posts have become available to work in Rotherham.  This post includes working with the District Nursing Teams across all of Rotherham and visiting patients in their homes and in care homes.

You will be experienced, flexible and motivated and will work within a Community setting to support the District Nursing Teams in undertaking venous samplings, joint visits and basic observations in patient’s homes and care homes.

You will play an important role in the maintenance and provision of high quality community services.  You will need to work well as part of a team with other phlebotomists and community adult nursing staff.  Good communication skills and an ability to work without direct supervision are essential for this post. You will have experience of working as a phlebotomist and be willing to undertake continued education and training in order to fulfil the requirements of the job description and development of the role.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.


The Trust offers free car parking at the Woodside Building (Woodside Building, Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2TY) if your interview is at the Main Hospital Site, which is a five-minute walk from Woodside. You will be asked for proof of your qualifications at the conditional offer stage of your employment. If you are unable to provide evidence the offer may be withdrawn.

New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
