40 HOURS PER WEEK - FIXED TERM UP TO 31ST MARCH 2021

£38,694 - £49,036 + £2,162 LONDON WEIGHTING

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust was formed in April 1995 and is a provider of Community and Hospital Mental Health and Learning Disability Services for Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley. It is a specialist provider of Forensic and Challenging Behaviour services for Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham, North Southwark, Bromley and Kent Prisons. Since 2010, Oxleas also provides a range of physical health services to adults and children in the community in the boroughs of Bexley and Greenwich. These, range from health visitors and community midwives working with the very young, to district nurses and therapists meeting the physical health needs of older people.

Peripatetic Doctor - The post holder will be Peripatetic Doctor in Greenwich, based with the Shepherdleas Ward team but will also work where the greatest clinical need is, this may be on other wards our Health Based Place of Safety or with the General Adult Liaison Team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The post holder will work closely with our other peripatetic doctor and may have to, on occasion, be the duty doctor during the day for Oxleas House to cover the other peripatetic doctor.

Oxleas House consists of 5 wards; Maryon Ward, Shepherdleas Ward, The TARN, Avery Ward and Shrewsbury Ward. They are also the base for the Greenwich Home Treatment team. Maryon, Avery and Shrewsbury are general adult wards, Shepherdleas ward is an Older Adult Ward and The TARN is our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The Liaison Team provides a comprehensive range of services for the population of individuals with mental health disorders in Greenwich. The service provides specialist assessment and treatment where appropriate.
