Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

The Cardiothoracic Department is a busy and growing service based at University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough.

We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic individual to join our secretarial team. You will need to be an experienced audio typist and possess excellent administration skills to undertake this demanding and fulfilling role as part of a hardworking and friendly team. The role will include a range of duties including audio typing, word processing, waiting list mangement and booking, arranging outpatient appointments and being first point of contact for patient queries amongst other general administrative duties.

You must have the ability to work in a busy environment and possess excellent organisational skills, have the ability to use your own initiative and communicate well at all levels.
