Thank you for choosing to apply for a role within Oxleas. Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust provides a large and diverse range of health and social care services across south east London and Kent. We specialise in community health, mental health and learning disability services, along with specialist services to Lewisham and Kent prisons. The care we provide is 100% NHS care, we do not provide private healthcare. We aim to improve lives by providing the best quality health and social care for our service users and their carers. To do this we have six core values which underpin everything we do: user focus, safety, partnership, learning, responsive, excellence. We were given an overall rating of 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission in May 2017. Bexley Care is an innovative integrated service linking adult and older adult services with community, social services and mental and physical health. The evolving integration with adult and social services offers exciting opportunities for developing new ways of working.

Over the previous 5 years Oxleas established a highly regarded musculoskeletal (MSK) service in partnership with King's College Hospital for Bexley CCG. We are taking this excellent work forward in a new alliance partnership working with the CCG and local secondary care providers. This is to continue to provide rapid triage, assessment and treatment for Bexley residents with MSK conditions and MSK rehabilitation needs, linking with other services to ensure the right treatment is delivered in the right place and time. The previous MSK service has won the Bexley CCG mystery shopper patient experience award for two years running and was also the Bexley Care team of the year in the annual Oxleas recognition awards in 2017/18. We are seeking two motivated Band 5 Physiotherapists with excellent clinical skills to work within our First Line Management Service within Oxleas NHS as part of our Musculoskeletal pathway in Bexley.

Our pathway enables a whole system approach for patients referred for Musculoskeletal management and enables streamlined, expert management of conditions in the right place, first time. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regarded and clinically specialised team of orthopaedic, rheumatology and pain consultants, podiatrists, ESP physiotherapists, psychologists and nurses.

The ideal candidates will develop knowledge and experience within areas of rheumatology, pain management, spinal, upper limb and lower limb conditions. High levels of motivation and the desire to work as part of team of a highly effective clinical team are essential.

The successful applicants will be required to work with a diverse patient population, and interact with various stakeholders across primary and secondary care, so the post is best suited to someone who is an excellent communicator and aims to excel in providing optimal patient care.

The MSK Service has a strong track record of developing staff with an established multidisciplinary in service training program and regular patient review sessions.

Oxleas is an award winning, friendly and welcoming organisation which prioritises staff well-being. Within Bexley Care, there are regular yoga, walking, music and photography staff groups. There are a number of leisure and sports centres within Bexley, and restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance of the team bases. As a Trust, we are able to offer a range of benefits to our staff including: Annual season ticket loans, Lease car scheme, Cycle to work scheme, Childcare Vouchers Health benefits such as Eye care/ eye test voucher, discounted gym memberships and Care First which provides support to staff around various health and well-being issues.
