Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse Associate to join our inpatient ward at Bishops Castle Community Hospital and Ludlow Community Hospital. 

Applicants must be able to undertake a wide range of clinical skills relevant to the complexities of inpatient nursing, but will be supported to undertake further training as required.

You will be supported to plan, implement, evaluate and take responsibility for the nursing care of the ward patients daily. You will have a flexible approach to working and be willing to participate in the development of the ward.

It is expected that the post holder will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and the wider health and social care economy. We require an innovative, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our hard working and friendly team.

*** Important information regarding DBS checks *** If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, you are required to pay the fee for the DBS check which is £50.00 for an Enhanced check and £30.00 for a Standard check

Staff who are new to the NHS will normally start on the bottom increment of the payscale advertised. From 1st April 2019 new starters to the NHS or those promoted to a new role will be subject to pay progression arrangements as contained in Annex 23 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions.

BANK: If you are applying for a bank position, please ensure you are able to meet the minimum shift requirements:

  • Clinical Bank Workers – To ensure professional practice and competence is up to date a minimum of 6 assignments must be undertaken in each period of 3 months and you must attend any training you are notified of. It is your responsibility to provide evidence that your professional practice is up to date.
  • Non-clinical Bank WorkersA minimum of 1 assignment must be undertaken in a 6 month period and you must attend any training you are notified of.
