Workforce and Reward Manager – Reward team, NHS Employers
Grade C: £36,150 per annum
Permanent
Base: Leeds (national travel required) There is currently a requirement to work from home.
Hours: Full time (flexible working will be considered)

Do you want to take a lead in supporting NHS organisations in:

  • finding innovative ways in delivering their approach to reward?
  • supporting national pay, terms and conditions negotiations?
  • designing and advising on good practice solutions to employment relations and reward in the NHS?

We have an excellent opportunity to join the Pension and Reward team as a programme manager, here at NHS Employers. The team works collaboratively to support employers on the NHS Pension as well as in developing their strategic approach to reward and benefits for their staff.

What are we looking for?

As a manager in the Pension and Reward team, you will:

  • lead the design, development and implementation of the commissioned work programmes, working closely with key stakeholders and employers in the NHS.
  • facilitate and contribute at national meetings
  • attend and run engagement events, providing products, tools and guidance to support employers and answering queries on job evaluation and equal pay, terms and conditions, and employment relations issues.
  • work closely across the team, planning and communicating effectively.
  • engage and work with other teams across the organisation to ensure our work is successfully connected to support employers in the NHS.

Experience of successful partnership working with trade unions is desirable.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • require excellent written and communication skills
  • have the ability to plan work, prioritise and manage conflicting priorities
  • possess strong people management skills and be able to work with and develop robust relationships with a range of stakeholders.

The position requires you to represent the organisation at external meetings and will be required to facilitate and run engagement events. You will be supported to develop in the role, but you will require some knowledge and understanding of reward, pensions or NHS workforce terms and conditions, along with the possible Human Resources solutions.

The majority of the Employment Relations and Reward directorate works from the central Leeds office although we are all home based presently due to Covid-19.
