We are currently recruiting to a Clinical Coding Team Lead post and are interested in hearing from an experienced Accredited Clinical Coder who would like to join us in providing an efficient and high-quality clinical coding service. You must possess excellent knowledge of national clinical coding standards and guidelines and have multi-specialty coding experience as you will be using this knowledge and experience to help the team’s Clinical Coding Trainer mentor, train and develop junior coding colleagues.

As a committed team player, you will also play an important supporting role which requires you to be organised and display strong direction and leadership skills. There is variety in the work that you will be undertaking which provides interest and challenges that will involve you using judgement and initiative to set priorities for yourself and others, monitor performance and meet service delivery and quality targets.

You will be expected to become involved in the trust’s clinical coding audit programme by assisting with the validation of clinically coded data, providing feedback and helping others with the clinical coding of both routine and more complex cases. This can also include collaborating with operational, clinical and corporate teams to improve the effectiveness of clinical coding.
