The NHS has embarked upon an ambitious digital modernisation strategy with a key objective to enable information to flow between care providers within and beyond organisational boundaries, and between care providers and patients to achieve a safe, convenient and personalised health and care service.

The digital programme underpinned by Information Technology through the introduction of new, or the development of existing, IM&T solutions/systems, aims to delivering national digital initiatives which will improve access to self-help diagnosis information and clinical pathway direction to appropriate services. This will enable clinicians to better utilise their time in their application of patient care and to empower patients in their own healthcare management.

West Yorkshire and Harrogate (WY&H) has a diverse population, with different health and social care needs. We believe that for the majority of services, these needs are best met on a local level through closer partnership working.

 

The local NHS, councils and partners in WY&H are working together through a Health and Care Partnershipand are looking to recruit a Digital Project Manager to deliver digital solutions that will have a positive impact on the delivery of patient care and patient outcomes, as well as driving efficiencies for clinicians. The focus of the role will be to lead the implementation of shared record capabilities across WY&H in collaboration with the partner organisations and the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record core team. Critical to this role will be fostering strong and supportive relationships with key stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated project manager to join the digital team. Candidates should have experience of managing successful, large scale projects within the NHS IT arena, preferably leading shared care record type projects. Candidates should be well organised, possess a positive attitude and be an excellent problem solver.

Although the post is hosted by Wakefield CCG, the role will be based in the digital team of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership. The postholder will be required to travel across the whole of the WY&H region, on a flexible basis.
