A permanent Full Time Band 2, Health Care Support Worker.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Older Adult inpatient Services within the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust on Bromley, St Georges Hospital, Stafford.

The ward is an assessment unit for older adults requiring admission for assessment of their mental health needs, treatment and discharge to the most suitable environment which may be home, supervised supported living or 24 hour care, working closely with community services. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative support worker. We need an individual who enjoys a challenge and wants to be part of a motivated team committed to delivering quality evidenced based care, promoting and maintaining service users independence to ensure they function at their optimum level. The team work as a multi-disciplinary team will all team members contributing to planning, implementing and evaluating planned care.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal skills both verbally and non-verbally. A degree of flexibility in approach is required along with a willingness to learn whilst working in an environment that can at times be challenging. The Trust encourages and supports employees in developing their skills, knowledge and practice through supervision and offering training opportunities.
