We are looking for an enthusiastic 0.6 WTE (22.5 hours) B5 Therapy Radiographer to join our team at Peterborough City Hospital
Following our recent program of expansion our department is equipped with two Varian Clinacs, a Varian Truebeam and a Canon Aquilion large-bore CT scanner. We use Varian Eclipse treatment planning system, and exploit the features of the ARIA R&V system to deliver a fully paperless clinical service.
Rapid arc is utilised for all suitable sites, daily online IGRT is used where appropriate, and the service has implemented SABR lung treatments, DIBH breast treatments and 4DCT scanning for lung patients. As well as providing a top-class service to our patients, we are actively involved in research and development projects and national clinical trials.
Our CT has recently been upgraded to a state-of-the-art system, we aim to upgrade to the latest version of ARIA/Eclipse in 2019, and will begin a program of replacement for the original two linear accelerators, orthovoltage unit, and virtual simulation system, in 2020.
As a band 5 radiographer you will have the opportunity to undertake duties across the whole radiotherapy pathway and we expect all staff to be involved in service innovation and new ways of working.
We are looking for radiographers with high calibre technical and patient care skills who want to work in a motivated, multiprofessional team to maintain an efficient, high quality service.
