We provide care and treatment for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow, delivering services in the community (at home, in GP surgeries, care homes), hospital, specialist clinics and forensic (secure) units.

Our physical healthcare services include intermediate care services in Ealing as part of the Community Independence Service partnership.

Our national, specialist and forensic services include:

  • Medium secure services on the St Bernard’s Hospital site in Ealing
  • Services for people with complex and severe personality disorder at the Cassel Hospital in Richmond
  • High secure services at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire

We are a teaching Trust with a growing research portfolio, working with academic and industry partners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to lead the development and implementation of the equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) agenda in our organisation.

West London has an ambition to become a beacon of excellence for equality, diversity and inclusion. We are incredibly proud that the Trust received national awards for its workforce programmes in 2018, 2019 and 2020 relating to our popular BAME staff development programme and a new and a fairer system for the allocation of shifts. Mostly recently we received an award for workforce innovation to improve staff recognition. As a result, staff engagement has improved by 19% in the national staff survey over the last 5 years and in 2019 more staff than ever recommend us as a place to work.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to:

  • Lead on development and implementation of EDI strategies to reflect best practice and compliance with national guidance
  • Lead on development of annual equality objectives covering both workforce and service delivery working closely with EDI Steering Group, staff networks and our heath partners across North West London ICS
  • Provide expert advice on EDI covering both workforce and service delivery
  • Further enhance the EDI governance framework to help accelerate pace of change


You should be qualified to masters level or have equivalent level experience, have a track record in leading improvements with equality standards such workforce race equality, disability and/or gender pay gap. We are looking for someone that is analytical, is a team player and has strong written & verbal communication skills.
