CNWL (Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust) has almost 7,000 staff providing integrated healthcare to a third of London's population, Milton Keynes and areas beyond. We involve service users, carers, the public, staff and partner organisations in the way that we are run.

Our catchment area spans diverse communities, with over 100 first languages spoken. It contains areas of great affluence as well as areas of much deprivation. We are committed to providing services that meet the needs of the people who use them, and we actively encourage involvement from local people who can help make a difference. We’re proud of our diversity and we continue to undertake new initiatives to advance equality for LGBT+, BME and people with disabilities to promote good relations and understanding between our staff.

We are recognised locally, nationally and internationally for providing high quality, innovative healthcare. We aim to employ only the best people, and our experts are frequently called upon to contribute to national health strategy and policy, and many models of our care have been adapted for use in other countries.

We offer a generous relocation package (subject to eligibility assessment) and flexible working options, including bank assignments for most roles. See attached Staff Reward and Wellbeing Handbook detailing our benefits, discounts and wellbeing intiatives for staff.

Become part of our team. We care for you as much as you care for others.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join the CNWL Milton Keynes IAPT Service. We are a well-established, high performing service and are responsible for the provision of Low Intensity and High Intensity therapies within the standards of stepped care model at steps 2 and 3. The team consistently meets its access and recovery targets and has recently undergone further expansion to meet new demands and needs of the local population.

We are able to offer agile working to the successful candidate – with time split between working from home and at the service base at Stantonbury Health Centre. The Trust is also able to offer a generous relocation package for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have qualified from an accredited PWP training course and have experience of working in primary care. Applicants who are currently in training and are due to complete their training within the next 3 months will be considered provided they can demonstrate that they are on track to complete and pass all course requirements.

The post holders will be working within a stepped care model, providing assessments and delivering evidence based low intensity interventions for people with common mental health problems. Assessments and interventions may be delivered face to face or via the telephone and postholders would also be expected to deliver psycho educational workshops, support the digital therapies programme and become involved in other project work as appropriate including working within the local community and establishing links with voluntary service organisations to promote the service.

We are looking for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who are adaptable, enjoy challenges and diversity and demonstrate an enthusiasm for primary care work. We particularly welcome applicants who speak other languages and who have enthusiasm for and experience of group work.

The post holder will receive regular clinical as well as case management supervision and clinical skills supervision from the Lead PWP and monthly continuing professional development sessions from either a qualified High Intensity therapist or external services. We have good links with and have trainees from all the Regional training courses for both Low and High Intensity training courses.

The post holder will predominantly be based at the service main hub at Stantonbury Health Centre but may be required to undertake work at other areas within the Milton Keynes area as appropriate.

The service meets a high level of need, and also has good recovery rates. There are clear and well-defined systems for triaging and screening of incoming referrals, allocation of clients to step 2 and step 3, management of waiting lists and stepping up and stepping down clients as appropriate.
