An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced medical secretary/administrator to join the medical secretarial team in Dermatology. The post holder will provide PA support to our clinical lead whilst coordinating administrative resources for the other consultants within the Department. This will involve the line management of Band 3 support secretaries and Band 2 audio typists.

Working alongside the other Medical Secretaries you will ensure Departmental targets are achieved. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an extremely busy, fast paced department and would perfectly suit an individual with existing secretarial experience wanting to develop a career in administration management.

As well as an interest in service improvement the ideal candidate will have a methodical approach to work and a flexible attitude incorporating the Trust PROUD values. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully delegate tasks are essential. Candidates should be educated to GSCE (or equivalent) including English at grade C or above and possess OCR III typing / word processing or equivalent demonstrable experience as a medical secretary/administrator.
