Senior Radiotherapy Radiographer

Band 6: £32,933 to £39,681 pa incl HCAS

Are you a Radiographer living in the South East? Are you looking to develop your career and work in a forward thinking and technically advanced team? If this is you, then why not look to become part of our excellent clinical team at St Luke’s Cancer Centre?

St Luke’s Cancer Centre is focused on providing excellent patient pathways and patient-centred care. We strive to continuously evolve to reflect the technical advances within Radiotherapy. We are one of the first UK departments to have a Varian ETHOS which enable us to deliver adaptive Radiotherapy. This complements our six Varian TrueBeams and 3 CT Scanners across the two sites. We use MR imaging in treatment planning and further development of PET/CT is underway. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to rotate through treatment, pre-treatment, data prep, Gulmay, HDR brachytherapy and Radiotherapy Research facilitating their professional and personal growth, ready for promotion.

Our main site is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford and our satellite centre is based at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. Guildford gives easy access to the beautiful North & South Downs Way, is an hour from the coast and has great transport links to the surrounding counties of Berkshire, Hampshire and Sussex. The city offers cultural diversity, is home to the University of Surrey and it is great place to reside and explore.

You will also have the opportunity to rotate to our satellite centre based in East Surrey Hospital. This centre is closely integrated with our main site and situated within easy access to London and is surrounded by beautiful Surrey countryside. This rotation will offer you the opportunity to work in a smaller team and broaden your clinical skills with the chance to follow a patient throughout their treatment pathway. This is an excellent opportunity for CPD which is not always achievable in larger departments and establishments. Additionally, your wellbeing is important to us and as such we offer clinical staff a 9 day fortnight working pattern giving you the opportunity to have a fixed day off every two weeks.

You will, no matter what your grade banding, be empowered to learn, grow and progress your career. We offer a variety of CPD opportunities and have strong links with Macmillian giving us access to valuable learning to ensure that our staff are the best that they can be.

Currently we have vacancies at the Guildford centre. We look forward to meeting with should you feel that you would like to become part of our St Luke’s team.
