ADVANCED CLINICAL PRACTITIONERS (ACPs)

Band 8A - Full and Part time posts

 

“Here in Worcestershire Community Hospitals, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) have been key in maintaining vital face to face services for our patients. ACPs are using their hands on clinical skills like never before, developing services in the face of unprecedented challenges and demonstrating the value of Advanced Clinical Practice both to patients, their families and the teams they work amongst. Our inpatient services offer a range of treatments including, providing sub-acute care to patients transferred from secondary care or admitted directly from their homes, general rehabilitation, specialist stroke services, complex neurology, palliative care and fractured neck of femur rehabilitation.

Whether you are working virtually, and missing the physical contact with patients, or are working within an environment where you are using all the skills you are trained to do, we would love to meet you and welcome you to our growing team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners”.

The successful candidates will be autonomous, reliable, motivated, flexible and able to demonstrate expertise in:

  • Advanced clinical/professional practice

  • Facilitating learning

  • Leadership/management

  • Research

Interested applicants will have recent experience in a Senior Clinical role and hold an MSC in Advanced Practice that includes the Non-Medical Prescribing Module.

Applicant Requirements - Applicants must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.

Probationary Period - All new appointments are subject to 6 months’ probation period.

Priority of Applicants - Please note that applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified/experienced individuals. However prior consideration will be given to applications from individuals who are ‘at risk’ and employed by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. If an appointment is made from that at risk group, the post will be withdrawn.

Requirement for DBS Update Service - If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, it will be a condition of your employment that you have subscribed and continue to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. Preceptorship for Newly Qualified Staff - The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
