Booking Agent – Centralised Staffing Solutions

The Centralised Staffing Solutions team is looking to recruit an individual with experience of working in a busy administrative environment.  If you are flexible, charismatic, have a professional phone manner, work well under pressure, understand the importance of team work and are methodical in your approach to tasks then we are keen to hear from you.

As a member of the Booking Team you will bethe first point of contact for all calls associated with the supply of temporary staffing functions within Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. You will be a key player in the promotion and development of the temporary staffing service and will need to have a strong customer-focused approach. You will need to be able to deal with conflict and highly complex and sensitive information, as well as have the proven ability of building relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

PLEASE NOTE: Our booking team operates between 6am and 8pm on weekdays and 6am and 6pm on weekends. Shift patterns are Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and 12pm to 8pm, weekend shift patterns are 6am to 2pm and 10am to 6pm. In order to ensure continuity of service we are looking for candidates who can commit to the 12-8pm shift.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented remote/home working, however once we see a return to normal business practices this role will be office based at Bridge Park Plaza, Thurmaston.

To fulfil this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • GCSE English Language and Maths level C or above or equivalent qualifications.
  • Excellent ability to manage time and conflicting priorities in a complex environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent computer and keyboard skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically as part of a team or independently
  • Be customer focused with excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work autonomously

PLEASE NOTE: Our primary requirement for this role is to work on the late shift which is 12:00pm-20:00pm.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.
