The NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre-Cardiovascular Theme, based at Glenfield Hospital, is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Research Practitioner to work in their state of the art facility supporting the delivery of the cardiac surgery studies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering a high quality of care in cardiac surgery field. You will need to have good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. You will work alongside the Principle Investigator Professor Gavin Murphy and the Research team to assist in the management of clinical research projects ensuring their smooth running & giving continued care & support for the cardiac surgery patients in accordance with the clinical trial protocol and Good Clinical Practice.

The post-holder will be responsible for supporting cardiac surgery studies from set up through to the completion of the follow up phase and for overseeing and/or managing single site studies as required. You will also be computer literate to be able to assist with data entry.

The post provides an excellent opportunity for highly motivated individual to contribute to the performance and development of an internationally recognised centre of excellence in cardiovascular research.
