A vacancy has arisen for a Specialty PA to join the Neonatal admin team based at the City Campus. Working as part of a team the post holder will support the provision of a high quality administrative / PA service to the Neonatal department.
You will support Consultants with administrative tasks such as diary management, arranging and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary team meetings, processing patient correspondence and any follow on actions in a timely manner. The successful post holder will also be responsible for updating Hospital systems (e.g. patient appointment outcomes) and collecting data for audit purposes.
You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational and communication skills including a sound administrative background. The ability to manage your time, organise and prioritise your workload whilst remaining patient and team focused is essential.
You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues. Maintaining confidentiality for all individuals and the organisation.
You will be responsible for responding to queries within and outside of the organisation in a professional and empathetic manner. And when required using your own judgement and decision making skills to complete tasks. You must be able to clearly and accurately convey information received via the telephone and from both verbal, written and recorded reports.
The successful applicant will have obtained GCSE Grade C in English Language and Maths or equivalent, Word Processing or typing qualification (or equivalent typing qualification/experience); NVQ level III in Administration or equivalent experience.
You will have excellent audio typing skills and be competent in the use Microsoft packages. Experience with hospital systems including Winscribe, Medway PAS, and NOTIS are desirable.
The post is based mainly on the City Hospital campus, although will require some cross campus work for meetings.
