Clinical Strategy Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Reference: 415-J20-428

Employer:
Northern Devon Healthcare Trust
Department:
Healthcare Analytics and Reporting
Location:
Barnstaple
Salary:
£45,753 - £51,668 per annum pro rata

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with a record of working across organisations and geographical boundaries. In this role you will be joining a team which is supporting the development of future models of local service delivery and ensuring that we make evidence-based decisions on how best to meet the future health needs of our population.

We are embarking on an exciting major programme to redevelop the North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple, North Devon. Last year, NDHT was identified by the Government in its Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) as one of 40 Trusts potentially eligible for a significant funding investment to transform our building and digital infrastructure. It is our intention to use this investment to create a fit for purpose estate and support the development of closer working relationships with our partners across Devon.

The Clinical Model Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for delivering a business intelligence service to the programme team and appointed Healthcare Planners.

You will develop and provide comprehensive, high quality, complex and timely information, analytics and predictive modelling to support the Collaborative Agreement and the NDHT Hospital Infrastructure Programme (HIP2).

You will have demonstrable experience of NHS data sets, health and social care delivery systems and models of care, and expert knowledge of analysis software and methodologies.

Our clinicians are leading this programme. Your role – in providing accurate and reliable modelling and data – will be essential in ensuring and maintaining effective clinical and operational engagement in the programme to ensure we make the best possible decisions.

The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term for 12 months.

This post is subject to formal matching. The Band is confirmed but there may need to be some revision to the JD required in the future.

Closing Date 1st December 2020

Our values guide everything we do. At all times, we aim to:

  • Demonstrate compassion
  • Strive for excellence
  • Respect diversity
  • Act with integrity
  • Listen and support others

Our teams of care professionals work with patients and their families to support peoples’ independence, health and wellbeing. We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.

In our most recent staff survey, our staff voted us in the top 10% of NHS provider organisations to work for and we also came out as the top provider in the South West for our overall results. Our patients (through the Friends and Family Test) regularly report an average of over 95% satisfaction with our services.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. For further information and to self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship, please visit the UK Border Agency website. Note: we will be unable to obtain Tier 2 sponsorship for Bank positions.

Please note that we may close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applicants.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
