NHS Professionals - Non-Clinical
£9.21 - £17.86 per hour - excludes Holiday Pay

Location: George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust

Payrate: Band 2, £9.21 - £17.86 per hour, dependant on shift worked (Holiday pay is accrued on top).

Role Type - Interim, long term

We have long-term work placement opportunities available for Porters available at George Eliot Hospital.

This is a full time role working a rota’d pattern

Responsibilities will cover several areas such as:

  • To be responsible for the regular and sufficient removal of general, recycling and clinical waste.
  • To ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled and disposed of in line with the site requirements.
  • To comply with the health and safety procedures when moving waste around the site.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.

The skills required are

  • Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
  • Eye for detail
  • Food hygiene knowledge
  • A good understanding of spoken and written English.

The hospital opened in 1948.
