An exciting opportunity has opened up within Leicester Royal infirmary's (LRI) Paediatric Theatres.

The post holder will become the Team Lead for the theatre Paediatric team, leading a highly skilled group of theatre practitioners and theatre support staff while liaising with the wider paediatric service. Your focus will be to facilitate a high quality safe and productive service.

LRI theatres is an exciting and forward thinking department lead by senior nurses and ODP's. The successful candidate will need to be dynamic, hardworking, and enthusiastic, with a willingness to lead from the front. You will be responsible for setting the standards and supporting your team to deliver these, sharing the Trust’s values and ambitions, with the patient’s safety and experience at the forefront of what you do.

You will also cover as a part of a team leader rota, the floor control role, coordinating the daily theatre activity and providing a direct line of contact for wider site and trust wide actions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a large well equipped department.

Applicants are invited from individuals who consider themselves a strong leader with excellent communication skills, who are visible and accessible and someone who places quality and standards as a priority. You will also need to be flexible, fair, and adaptable to the changing needs of the service. In return we will provide close supervision, training and development opportunities and everyday challenges.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience at Band 6 level (or equivalent), including leadership and management skills, as well as being able to establish credible working relationships quickly and hold excellent organisational skills are essential.
