Lead Nurse in Clinical Performance

An exciting, 12 month secondment (Internal) or FTC ( External) opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced RMN to join the Community Mental Health Services for Adults of Working Age division, focusing on clinical performance.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the clinical review of performance data across the Trust, with a specific focus on areas that are deemed high risk such as the service users not seen for over 365 days.

They will work collaboratively with colleagues, key partners and those within the local community to ensure appropriate review of cases to support recommendations and actions.

The post holder will employ a wide range of skills, building on and developing their expertise and actively seeking advice and collaboration with issues which may not be readily within their sphere of competence. As a senior registered practitioner they are professionally and legally accountable under their relevant code of professional practice.

The post holder will be able to sustain a respectful, consistent and reliable relationship with service users that enhance their ability to build social networks and work in partnership with other agencies.

Assessment skills and a working understanding of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) process is an essential part of the role.

You will need to be able to demonstrate expertise in risk assessment and planning of care in a mental health community setting.

We are looking for experience and commitment, together with a desire to make our service the best we can through innovation and collaboration with our key stakeholders.

The post will entail working with people who are experiencing severe and enduring mental ill-health and enabling them through their recovery journey.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and that you operate as a well-integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team, maintaining a person-centred focus and act as a role model at all times.

As a lead nurse, you will have demonstrable RMN post registration experience and be able to demonstrate post registration study and development.

You will need to have the ability to transport yourself across a wide geographical area without compromising service needs.

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.
