Assistant Community Responder Officer - Somerset

£21,892 - £24,157 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Community Responder Department within the South Western Ambulance Service as an Assistant Community Responder Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Trust’s Community Public Access and Static Site Defibrillator initiatives across their area of responsibility and will be tasked with delivering resuscitation and defibrillator training to the business and community sites that are part of this.

The candidate will also work alongside the county Community Responder Officer to support the recruitment and management of volunteer Community First Responders.

This role will be to cover Somerset where travel and unsocial hours working are key elements of the function.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a good working knowledge of community resuscitation and defibrillation initiatives and ideally hold a qualification in training or have good experience of delivering training

Interview dates for this post will be 15-18 December 2020.
