South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) has a strong track record in collaborative research and works with a number of institutions to successfully deliver research projects. Participating in high quality research is an integral part of SWASFT’s business.

We are seeking an experienced Research Manager to support the efficient and effective management of the Trust’s research portfolio. The successful candidate will have a key role in leading the implementation of the Trust’s vision for research and development.

The selected candidate must work well within a team, whilst being able to work autonomously and manage their time productively. Contributing to activities designed to promote inter-disciplinary research; the post holder will identify opportunities and develop strategies to maximize recruitment to studies within the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) portfolio. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders with regard to the research process and governance requirements; including local and national policies and legislation.

Applicants should note that interviews will take place on 23rd December 2020. It is anticipated that the interviews may take place through Skype. Candidates should indicate at application if they require support to complete remote interviews.

Please note, this role is based atTrust HQ In Exeter, although it is likely working from home will be required during the current pandemic.
