Deputy Head of Operations CRS/CCAS

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Deputy Head of Operations managing the Covid Response Service (CRS) within South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).

The CRS has been established to support patients with Covid symptoms or concerns and alleviate pressure on primary and urgent care services. The role will require the postholder to co-manage two main services; a 24/7 GP Led remote assessment service handling patients with covid symptoms and call handling 111 service responding to callers with covid symptoms or concerns


As Deputy Head of Operations you will have experience working in either 111 or services where remote clinical assessment occurs. You will report into the Head of Operations and provide the day to day management of these services and any other new initiatives required to support the pandemic response. The post holder will have in-depth experience of managing performance, change initiatives and service development plans. You will be experienced in managing internal and external relationships and will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners.


The role is based from home but may require travel within lockdown restrictions.
