How many people close down their computer at the end of the working day knowing they’ve really made a difference?

We do. Every day.

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust delivers care to more than 9,000 children and adults across Sussex every single day. Our amazing clinical teams are supported by equally brilliant corporate services.

At SCFT, we’re a team of more than 5,000 people united by a vision to deliver excellent care at the heart of the community. Coronavirus has challenged us but we’re stronger as a result and even prouder of the work that we do.

Come and help us tell our story.

We’re looking for a new Communications and Engagement Officer to join our busy, talented team.

You’ll be creative and have a passion for great communications and engagement – able to generate ideas and be known for your can do attitude.

You’ll help us shape a great service for our staff and our patients and you’ll be dedicated to making sure we hear the voices we’ve never heard before.

You’ll work across all our clinical and corporate services, including supporting the marketing and development of our Trust charity, ensuring our people and our patients remain at the heart of all we do.

You’ll be skilled across all the varied communications disciplines and know how to find and write compelling copy (there’s no shortage of amazing stories in our Trust) and you’ll be able to turn complex information into clear, accessible and helpful messages for the people who need them.

You’ll understand the communications planning process, from setting measurable communications objectives, planning tactics and actions to delivering and evaluating the impact of what we do. And you’ll be passionate about making sure all our communications and engagement is accessible to everyone. We’re committed to leaving no one behind.

You’ll be comfortable in the digital environment, with experience of managing an intranet and internet and keeping up to date with technology to help deliver campaigns and engaging messages.

Your days will be busy – we’ve never known a time like this in the NHS - but you’ll join a kind, friendly, helpful and compassionate team in a Trust that supports people from the moment they are born until they take their last breath. You’ll be a part of the difference SCFT makes every single day.
