Temporary Covid Testing Support Assistant - Band 2

Do you want to join a new team set up to support Team ASPH Covid response? Are you an administrative whizz, looking to develop your clinical career?

If so, then this will be a great role for you.

As part of the newly formed Covid Testing Team you will play a key part in swabbing patients who are requiring elective surgery and supporting staff as part of the asymptomatic staff testing programme.

You will have the opportunity to undertake both clinical skills of swabbing, as well as the administrative skills of recording patient data, supporting the logging of staff data and ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.

Previous swabbing experience is not essential as all training will be provided. You will however, be committed to supporting the team in a range of activities related to Covid testing. You will be customer and patient focussed, have excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to work outside of core hours and weekends, although no nights shifts.
