Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Chief Executive to further enhance our Executive Team.

This new role has been created specifically to work closely with our chief executive and executive team to provide leadership and capacity to secure the Trust’s objectives and our ambition to Step up to Great.

Our chief executive holds a joint post across two NHS organisations - Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) and LPT - and therefore this deputy post will provide senior leadership to support this arrangement and deputise for the CEO within LPT.

We are looking for someone with strong effective leadership skills to deliver our organisational vision and strategy Step up to Great, manage day to day operational delivery and to act on behalf of the Chief Executive in their absence.

The role requires an experienced senior healthcare leader, with the skills and confidence to lead in a complex organisation and NHS system, to deliver transformation and improved outcomes and experiences for our patients and staff.

The role will involve working with other system partners to enhance Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR)’s approach to providing integrated community, mental health and learning disability care to the people who use our services.

You will also be a key part of our leadership team for the Trust’s response to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.
