We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Neuro Early Supported Discharge Teams.

The clinical teams are located at the Western Community Hospital and provide community based rehabilitation to patients in the Southampton city and surrounding Hampshire region.

The successful post holder will have the opportunity to work within the two Neuro Early Supported Discharge Teams of Community Stroke Team and Snowdon at Home, treating mixed neurology, ABI and stroke caseloads. The post holder will deliver individualised programs of rehabilitation within the community setting and will be expected to provide Physiotherapy Clinical Leadership and supervision to junior staff.

The successful applicant will work closely with other Occupational Therapists within the service and multidisciplinary team members including Rehabilitation Consultants, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Social Workers and Administrative support. The post requires an experienced Neurological Clinician with a high level of organisational, communication and IT skills. As part of the role you will be expected to provide leadership support to the Team Lead and Clinical support to the wider MDT.

Within Solent Neurological Rehabilitation Services, you will be supported by Team leaders and Service Leads, you will receive profession specific and CPD support from Senior Physiotherapists within the service.The post holder will have post graduate experience which would include specific stroke/neurological clinical experience, with evidence of post registration learning, management of others and involvement in service developments.

Access to a car for community visits is essential.
