The Deputy County Commander is a key role in the County management structure and as such will be a role model for operational staff. Reporting to the County Commander, the Deputy County Commander has operational responsibility for the efficient and effective day to day management and smooth running of the County.

The Deputy County Commander will be responsible for helping the County Commander deliver high quality patient care across the County being responsible for ensuring consistent operational working practices and working in conjunction with their counterparts in other Counties to make sure best practice is identified and implemented.

We listen and work with our staff to ensure a progressive, service which takes account of feedback, organisational learning, providing staff with the equipment and support necessary to help them fulfil their demanding roles.

You will be educated to post graduated level, or be able to demonstrate significant leadership experience at a senior level. You will have ambulance operations experience and excellent communication skills to build relationships with others.
