We are excited to be able to welcome a new static band 6 member of our Adult CF and Bronchiectasis Physiotherapy team, based in the Leicester Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Bronchiectasis Specialist services. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic physiotherapist with a specific interest in working with this patient group, to come and work within the Physiotherapy and CF/Bronchiectasis multi-disciplinary teams at Glenfield Hospital, a tertiary referral specialist cardio-respiratory hospital, part of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

This is an exciting post in addition to the Clinical Specialist, two Band 6 physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistant who provide a highly specialized service to adults with CF and Bronchiectasis in Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands. Interventions include airway clearance, inhalation therapy, exercise assessment and prescription, basic musculoskeletal interventions, continence management, promotion of self-management and support with treatment adherence. This service is provided in all settings including in-patients, clinics, ward attenders, out-patients and home care. Car owner driver is essential.

The post holder will also be involved with supporting the management of patients with non-CF Bronchiectasis in hospital, out-patients and clinics as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team. They will be required to participate in weekend, bank holiday and on call cover.
