Medical Equipment Clinical Technologist (Computing Specialist)

(BAND 5)

The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) requires a dynamic medical equipment Clinical Technologist with interest and expertise in computing, such as data management, application development and networking.

This is a demanding position and you will play a major part in achieving service objectives in a busy and technically challenging environment governed by an ISO9001 quality system. Developing the appropriate governance framework, including assessment of the suitability, safety and IT security of medical devices connected to the trust network.

The successful candidate will have the ability to self manage and prioritise the direction of their day to day activities to achieve timely progression of innovative IT projects, with a responsibility for maintaining and administrating the Trust medical equipment inventory management system. The role is performed both in-house and at various customer sites throughout Leicestershire. A driving licence and your own transport would be advantageous.

Applicants must be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience, and it is desirable that you have previous knowledge of servicing/managing medical devices. Technical training will be available.

You will have a safety conscious approach to your work and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. An ability to cope under pressure, be adaptable and multi-task is required.
