The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of around 230,000 people in the Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Waveney areas. The Trust provides an integrated hospital and community children’s service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Central Treatment Suite at the James Paget University Hospital for a qualified nurse to gain confidence, skills and knowledge in wound care and minor surgery.

Applicants must be motivated, able to work as part of a team, with the ability and initiative to manage and prioritise the department’s daily workload. It is essential that you are reliable and have good time management as well as excellent communication skills to ensure a consistently high standard of service to visitors and other service users.

The successful candidate must have is a willingness to learn as they will be trained to undertake some extended roles and will be required to use the trusts computer system to ensure that appointments and telephone enquiries are processed efficiently. They will support the doctors in minor surgery clinics and various procedures including, chest drains and lumbar punctures.

Qualifications or experience are not essential as training and support will be given to any member joining our team, so if you get excited about wound care, then we want to meet you.
