ICT/Digital Programme Manager

We have a renewed focus on technology and digital first to underpin world-leading care by being ambitious, compassionate and brave. Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust has embarked upon a number of ambitious developments focused on integrating systems at Birmingham Women’s and Birmingham Children’s Hospitals, moving to fully electronic records across our Trust and delivering some Digital world leading innovations. To support our plans, the ICT & Digital Strategy teams are working with the organization to lead a number of projects and a significant programme of change across the hospitals, for the benefit of our patients. Fundamental to this change also is ensuring that the organisations digital strategy aligns with the wider regional digital strategy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Programme Manager to lead our ambitious digital transformation programme. Working with our patients, clinicians and managers the post holder will Lead a team of digital project managers and support staff, they will have a key role in delivering a complex, high-value ICT, digital and technology focused programmes and projects.

The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment keeping abreast of the latest trends in healthcare technology. The individual must be an excellent communicator with a solid track record of delivering transformative projects and experience working in complex and evolving environments. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in healthcare IT projects and innovation, as well as knowledge of business, commercialisation and technology orientated culture change.

From January 2021, as free movement ends there will be a new UK points based immigration system. Under the points-based immigration system, anyone coming to the UK for work must meet a specific set of requirements. Visas are then awarded to those who meet all relevant criteria. The new system will treat EU1 and non-EU citizens equally and transform the way in which all migrants come to the UK to work. Anyone coming to the UK to work, excluding Irish citizens, will need to apply for permission in advance


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
