An exciting opportunity has arisen to support First Community Health and Care as the Lead Professional for Adult Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.

 

This is a new post to work with the current post holder to extend the service provided within the organisation.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to join the adult safeguarding. The post holder will ensure comprehensive and robust arrangements are in place to safeguard vulnerable adults and will be a source of expert advice and support in safeguarding and will support the developments required for the implementation of the new Care Act.

 

Applicants must have recent experience of working within the field of safeguarding vulnerable adults, with evidence of on-going professional development. You will have an in depth knowledge of current safeguarding legislation and guidance.

 

As a Lead Professional you will undertake the advisory specialist role for Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults at Risk, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS), supporting the Executive Lead in delivering the corporate and strategic agenda for First Community Health and Care (FCHC). This post will support teams across the organisation in matters related to the Safeguarding of Adults.

Successful applicants within the staff groups above will receive -

  • £1000 upon commencement (payable in your first months’ salary) then;

  • £1000 after 6 months service subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.

    Do note that repayment clauses apply - and will be provided, as required to the relevant post holders. This does not apply to internal candidates.
