Do you have a keen eye for detail with a logical and analytical approach to your work? Are you looking for a new challenge in healthcare informatics, where your work contributes to planning and delivering the best possible healthcare for our patients? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Healthcare Analytics and Reporting Team (HART) based at North Devon District Hospital.

In order to support its staff in the planning and delivery of the best possible healthcare for our patients, Northern Devon Healthcare Trust needs timely, accurate and relevant information. HART provides a corporate support function delivering information and analysis for both Trust and external customers. The team’s reporting coverage includes the following areas: performance monitoring, clinical services contracts and activity, clinical benchmarking, RTT validation, and production of key executive and Trust Board Integrated Performance Reports (IPR), plus numerous other subjects, in support of patient care.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has an organised and logical approach to work and enjoys working flexibly under pressure in a busy team, as well as working on their own initiative to achieve deadlines. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent, numerate with proven analysis skills, and a good communicator. You should have proven experience of working in an Informatics or analytical role including the collection and dissemination of information. The successful applicant will work as part of a small team supporting various areas of work within the Trust, focusing on Cost Improvement Programme work and with the opportunity to become involved in other aspects of the team’s remit.

You should be familiar with the MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel, and knowledge of SQL would be useful.

While being based within the Healthcare Analytics and Reporting Team, the post holder will also network with a wide range of Trust staff at all levels and may be required to attend meetings on other Trust sites or with regulator colleagues elsewhere within Devon.

The post is substantive for 37.5 hours per week.
