The Sheffield Children’s Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to recruit to a part time (22.5 hours) Secretarial Scanning Clerk vacancy within the Division of Medicine.

The successful applicant must possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. They will be flexible and conscientious with the ability to liaise with staff of all levels throughout the hospital and to the wider Trust. This post primarily requires the successful candidate to provide a comprehensive clerical service to the Secretariat to ensure patients’ electronic files are up to date to support the delivery of care. This involves the scanning and quality assurance of internal and external correspondence into patients’ electronic files.

There is a requirement for the post holder to work across Ryegate Children’s Centre (post code S10 5DP) and Centenary House (post code S6 3BR).

The post holder will work under the direction of the Service Co-ordinator, but will be capable of using their own initiative. They will be required to adopt a flexible approach and must enjoy working as part of a mixed skilled team.

If a DBS check is required for the post you are applying for any offer of employment will be provisional on a satisfactory DBS check being obtained.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
