This is a fantastic opportunity to work for Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust within our First Contact Physiotherapy service; working as a First Contact Physiotherapist within a Primary Care setting.
The post holder(s) will work independently assessing musculoskeletal patients within the Rotherham GP Hubs. The successful candidates will assess/triage patients within 20 minute appointments following appropriate care navigation by the GP Practice teams.
The First Contact Physiotherapist will operate at an advanced level of clinical practice with skills to assess, diagnose, treat and manage musculoskeletal (MSK) problems and undifferentiated conditions. This will involve seeing patients, without prior referral from their GP, to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan thus streamlining pathways of care.
The successful candidates will be an experienced Physiotherapist who:
- Displays energy and passion in the pursuit of service excellence and delivery of a positive patient experience
- Can support the FCP service and Clinical Lead to meet established targets and objectives
- Has evidence of the development of advanced MSK assessment skills
- Can evidence advanced MSK/Orthopaedic clinical experience and skills
- Has a commitment to personal professional development and the development of others
We have a strong commitment to supervision, PDR, CPD, and staff training.
The successful applicant will have:
- Current HCPC registration
- Full driving license with access to a vehicle for business use
- Valid work permit or be eligible to work within the UK

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual.
