Clinical Governance Lead | Band 8a | Management |Full-time | Learning and advancement opportunities 

Due to an internal Promotion the Spire Sussex hospital is recruiting for a Clinical Governance Lead to manage the hospital’s risk and governance strategy and associated compliance activities. This a varied role where you will be working across all clinical areas of the hospital, and working collaboratively with numerous internal and group-level stakeholders

The Spire Sussex hospital in Hastings is rated  an  ‘Outstanding’ hospital  by the CQC.  It is a  29 bedded hospital that offers outpatient and inpatient services for a range of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Cosmetic and General Surgery.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the hospital’s clinical governance and compliance activity
• Lead on CQC compliance throughout the hospital
• Assist the Director and Deputy Director Clinical Services to monitor and coordinate investigations of adverse events occurring within the hospital
• Be responsible for the development of methods and processes to aid the management of clinical risk
• Assist in the development and dissemination of patient safety related information throughout all levels of the hospital
• Promote a culture that actively improves clinical safety and quality

Who we're looking for:

• NMC registered Nurse
• Proven experience in clinical and hospital governance
• Excellent understanding of CQC,  standard surgical/clinical practices and procedures
• Excellent communicator
• Experience of compliance is desired
