We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Breast Clinician to join our team in the Jarvis Breast Screening Centre, Surrey.
Applications are invited to take part in an innovative training opportunity based at the Jarvis Breast Centre. The appointed candidate will join the unit as a participant in the National Breast Clinician Credential Pilot in Breast Disease Management.
The objectives of the pilot are to:
These are new posts for Trainee Breast Clinicians to support the future delivery of high quality symptomatic and screening breast services, family history / risk assessment and breast clinical services.
Through the three-year training programme the successful applicant will access high quality clinical training and specific learning allied to the current training in radiology but dedicated to breast imaging. This is part of a national pilot scheme and the applicant will be expected to work with all clinical groups within the breast service, surgeons, radiologists, breast clinicians, radiographers, oncologists, nurses and clinical genetic services. Upon successful completion, the training will lead to the award of a certified credential in breast disease management, enabling candidates to apply for permanent positions as Breast Clinicians.
