Swansea University Health Board in partnership with NPTC Group of Colleges is offering the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Business Administration at Level 2 within the Neurophysiology Department based at Morriston Hospital.

This will consist of a work placement within the department, supported by teaching sessions to ensure that the apprentice has the relevant knowledge and skills to work effectively within the Health Board.
This role is to support the staff within the Neurophysiology Department with the running of the service and work towards a NVQ.

This role will involve working with the public and a wide range of staff groups.


Candidates should be self motivated, willing to learn and have a positive, can-do attitude and approach to be part of a team that delivers a high quality service to all.


You will receive training and ongoing support to enable you to use the systems and processes required to undertake the role and complete your apprenticeship. In addition, you will gain a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.


All applicants must:


•be aged 16+
•be resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years
•not be in any form of formal government-funded education qualifications
•have a good general standard of GCSE education or equivalent

•not hold a Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration, a similar subject, or at an equivalent level
•not have a Degree

•be flexible within normal working hours (37.5 hours per week)

This post is for a fixed term of 12 months.
