Want to make a real difference and have a truly rewarding career? Join 'Team Derbyshire Healthcare' and become part of a talented, compassionate and enthusiastic workforce committed to a vision of ‘making a positive difference in people's lives’.

We’ve been rated ‘good’ overall by the CQC, with some outstanding services. The CQC commented at our most recent inspection on how our colleagues “treated patients with compassion and kindness” and “felt positive and proud about working for the trust.”

Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of Derbyshire Healthcare and our Chief Executive, Ifti Majid, is a national advocate on these issues. We are actively seeking to increase diversity in our workforce through our recruitment activities. Selection will be on the basis of merit and we are committed to the principles of positive action, to address any imbalances of opportunity.

We are committed to ensuring that all Trust colleagues can work safely during the current Coronavirus crisis. As part of this, the Trust is reviewing job roles in relation to COVID-19 national guidance, in terms of home working, flexibility and safe practice, to ensure positive working environments for staff and the best quality services for patients. Please note that this post may be subject to adjustments in line with COVID-19 national guidance.

An opportunity has arisen to work in a CQC 'Outstanding' Children and Young People's (CYP) IAPT Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, covering Derby City and South Derbyshire.

The post holder will work in the CAMHS Early Access Pathway, specifically the Assessment and Short Term Intervention Specialist Team.

A.S.I.S.T offers initial assessment and brief intervention to children and young people presenting with mental health difficulties, with the aim of preventing long term stays within service.

The post holder would be expected to contribute to the initial assessment clinics, offer one-to-one intervention for up to 8 sessions, carry a caseload and offer care co-ordination where needed, facilitate group interventions and work alongside the wider CAMHS service.

As a CYP IAPT Service, we endeavour to offer an accessible, evidence-based service to children and young people, that delivers the right intervention at the right time.

We use Routine Outcome Measures to evidence what we do and influence our practice.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with post-registration experience, this would normally equate to 2 years, to join our multi-disciplinary team.

The vacancy is a full time post.

Our service offers extended hours between the days of Monday-Friday, 8.00am-8.00pm, which the post holder would be expected to contribute to.

We offer flexible working hours to meet the needs of the service.
