Solent GP Surgery (part of Solent NHS Trust) serves around 19,000 people across three sites in the Southampton area. We are looking to recruit additional reception staff to join our friendly and supportive team. Our reception staff are the first point of contact with our patients and pivotal in the smooth running of the surgery. The duties are many and varied and include answering the telephone, working with patients face to face on reception, booking appointments, ordering prescriptions, sorting mail and using TPP System 1. We will provide a full and comprehensive induction package with on-going training and regular supervision and support.

We are looking for a motivated friendly team player with a genuine interest and desire to work in the public healthcare sector. The work will involve both working in our centralised call centre (based at the Royal South Hants Hospital) and also on the reception desk at either Adelaide, Nicholstown or Portswood site. We will require somebody with the ability to work a mixture of early shifts 7.45 a.m. until 15.45 p.m. and late shifts 10.30 a.m. until 6.30 p.m.
