We are looking to recruit one full time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist. We would welcome any newly qualified therapists or therapists who wish to return to practice as we are happy to support you on your journey.

This post would suit:

  • Children’s Speech and Language Therapists looking to return to practice

  • Newly qualified or about to qualify Speech and Language Therapists

We have developed an integrated model of working with Therapy teams increasingly working together to provide holistic models of care, working in the same offices as the Children’s Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services.
In addition, we have excellent working relationships with early years, schools, health and social care colleagues allowing us to share our expertise more widely and create innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family.

We can support you to develop your Children’s Speech and Language Therapy skills by offering:

  • A friendly and supportive network of colleagues

  • Clinical Supervision and joint working opportunities

  • Participation at regular local Speech and Language Therapy team meetings

  • Regular specialist peer supervision with colleagues across the Solent NHS region

  • Termly professional training and update days with colleagues across the Solent NHS region

  • Training and development opportunities

  • Support to achieve your competencies: if appointed prior to qualification we would offer Band 4 assistant position until registration is achieved.

About Solent NHS

Since 1 May 2014 we have been the providers of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy to children and young people 0-19 years across the county of Hampshire including the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth.

We have a telephone advice line, a Schools Therapy Resource Pack, provide INSET training and receive excellent feedback from the Friends and Family Test.

We value our staff highly and offer full induction, clinical supervision and appraisal, CPD/training opportunities and professional, clinical, managerial and peer support.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
