Trainee Nurse Associate Band 3

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for to train to become a nursing associate with Wiltshire Health and Care LLP. This is role, which the organisation is investment in significantly to enable and the role to become an integral part of the healthcare team.

With posts available, in a variety of areas across Wiltshire, this is an excellent opportunity to train as you earn, studying for an apprenticeship. There is no upper age limit and we actively encourage applicants of all ages.

You will be expected to attend University in Swindon for a day per week or via virtual learning whilst Covid measures are in place, and although you will be based in 1 service area, you will need to undertake several short placements at an alternative location over the two years. You will be supported to learn on the job by the healthcare team and a dedicated work based tutor.

We are proud of our staff and support career progression so if you successfully complete the 2-year training course, and become registered, you will be offered a permanent job as a nursing associate. Once established in this role, the opportunity for further training to become a registered nurse may also be possible.

Successful candidates must have 12 months caring experience and of have achieved a level 3 qualification such as an NVQ level 3, Access or A levels. The Care Certificate as well as Level 2 or GCSE grade A-C / 5-9 in English and Math’s is desirable. Training will commence in January/February 2021.

Wiltshire Health and Care was formed in July 2016 and is a partnership of the three NHS Foundation Trusts that serve Wiltshire; Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
